A Summer In India 2019

This website describes an international education field experience that began with a 10-week online course during 2018 and familiarized me with concepts of international education and best methods for creating technology.

In February 2019, I attended a Symposium in Washington, D.C. where I met other members of the cohort and learned about my summer field experience in India through meetings and lectures with State Department staff, alumni of the program, and residents of India.

On the train to and from Washington, D.C. , I began to prepare for the actual field trip experience, which began in July 2019.

This site contains some of my work that I created about international education, my thinking and philosophy about teaching, a blog on which I record my impressions about India and my personal development, and my plans to teach a unit around international education, specifically gender equity using the 2019 Women’s World Cup as a metaphor for global awareness of gender issues. I plan to teach this unit to English Language Learners in the fall of 2019.
